List East Lighthouse

L

ist East Lighthouse

The red and white striped List East lighthouse stands on the Sylt peninsula called Ellenbogen and is the second northernmost lighthouse in Germany after List West.

This lighthouse was built by the Danes in 1857. The foundation, the tower shaft and the lantern house are identical in construction with the lighthouse List-West. This lighthouse is somewhat higher with a building height of 13.6 meters above ground. The height of the fire is thus 22 meters above MThw.  The lighthouse stands in a dune chain, which is under nature protection.
